Memory Dust Vol. 1 Graphite
A collection of graffiti from the Southeastern New England area made exclusively with graphite. Subject matter includes: professions of love, cartoons, musical interests, "was here" writings and psychotic nonsense. Dates range from 1958 - present. Also included are several news articles about the Cranston Coal Mine that produced graphite until its closure in 1959 after a tunnel collapse. There is also a spread dedicated to pencils produced by the Providence Pencil Company pre 1946. Safe to assume that the lead from the mines was used to produce these pencils. Each zine comes with two Memory Dust foil stamped pencils as well to set you up on your path to notoriety on light poles and bathrooms everywhere.
